约克区警方与加拿大皇家骑警、皮尔区警方及美国缉毒局合作从去年5月开展一项名为“猎豹计划”（Project Cheetah）的行动。

2021年4月8日，警方在安省、卑诗和加利福尼亚等不同地点执行了超过50个搜查令，一共拘捕33人，并提出超过130项指控。在行动中没收了总值230元毒品，包括10公斤可卡因，8公斤氯胺酮，3公斤海洛因及2.5公斤鸦片，另外还缴获48支枪和73万元现金。

约克区警官Ryan Hogan说，在 Brampton 的Karebear游乐场中缉获了几公斤海洛因，这种非常隐蔽的毒品对我们的社区造成巨大伤害，甚至影响到儿童。

我们知道，在毒品交易中，暴力行为很普遍。警方在Caledon的一个民宅中缴获了46支枪，而这些武器都是该住所居民合法拥有的，他们现在面临贩运毒品的指控。
