据悉，1月6日，美国国会参众两院将召开联席会议，正式清点选举人票，认证选举人团的投票结果，并宣布总统选举的正式结果。
作为参议院议长，彭斯将在1月6日主持国会两院联席会议，监督选举人团投票结果的认证程序。特朗普还发推文公开表示，彭斯“有权拒绝通过欺诈手段选中的选举人”，坚称自己和彭斯“完全同意副总统有权采取行动”推翻大选结果。
