Real Estate Planning: Work with clients at a strategic level to address complex planning and development challenges. You’ll gain experience across all areas. From housing regeneration schemes and town planning, to preparing and managing planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes.
Your professional experience
This is your opportunity to join Deloitte’s Real Estate Planning team. We work at a strategic level with our clients to deliver integrated town planning solutions to help deliver major housing, regeneration schemes and infrastructure projects. We combine our planning consultancy skills with the expertise of colleagues specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment, Development Consultancy, Affordable Housing and Economic Assessment teams to address complex planning and development challenges.
We prepare and manage planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes. Other work includes provide planning due diligence and reviews for clients and strategic planning which includes site promotion and advising clients on the local plan making process.
As a member of our team, you will be encouraged and supported from the get go, to engage with key projects and to take ownership of appropriate workstreams within project teams.

Requirements & Qualifications
In order to apply, you need to be either in your penultimate year of an RTPI accredited undergraduate degree (4 year course), with a predicted 2:1, OR in your final year studying towards a 2:1 in any degree, with confirmation of plans to study an RTPI accredited Master~q~s degree (which you will have completed by September 2020).
You will also need to have achieved 104 UCAS points for your A levels (or equivalent), a grade 4 (C) in English language and a grade 6 (B) in Maths in your GCSEs (or equivalent).

Your opportunity
We’re more involved in our client’s affairs than ever before, providing advice and services far beyond pure financial diligence. From business restructuring and mergers & acquisitions, to financial crime investigations and debt advisory. Your opportunities here are huge.
Advisory / Merger & Acquisitions: In Advisory, you’ll support clients through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Government & Infrastructure and with capital transactions. Which can include everything from valuing companies for sale, to business modelling, to Healthy Economy and Restructuring/ Transaction.
Forensic: Within Forensic Technology and Financial Crime, you’ll use your skills to combat fraud, bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, international sanctions, and intellectual property disputes.
Restructuring Services: Help clients stabilise and rejuvenate businesses that are in crisis. This might mean improving their performance, planning and delivering a turnaround strategy, financial restructuring or, in some cases, acting as administrators when insolvency is the best solution.
Transaction Services – Post Merger integration: This team provides both due diligence and post deal advisory services across a range of areas (i.e., Integrations, separations, operations, performance improvement, and technology) on transactions. Which means you’ll be helping clients who are planning to buy, sell or take-over businesses to assist with the execution of the deal. These are often large global deals with high profile clients.
Your professional experience
As a member of the Restructuring Services team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the largest and most influential clients both in the UK and abroad, and across a broad range of industries. You will help management to manage crisis, maximise return to creditors, and limit exposure to risk and bad debt. Work may be on behalf of the Corporate (e.g. the directors) or Creditor (e.g. a bank), and common activities may include:
Making and receiving payments for the company
Corresponding with employees, HMRC, landlords and suppliers
Reporting on the company and directors
Working closely with Deloitte Tax and lawyers
