Join VanOutdoors for a fun-filled weekend of cultural learning on Vancouver Island!

跟随温哥华户外社团一起，带领孩子们去维多利亚岛，学习当地原住民文化之余，过一个开心而充实的周末！

随行家长住宿地点：Riverbend Cottage & RV Resort，孩子在营地露营

Activities will include learning about Salish Culture, including traditional methods of transportation, food gathering, and hearing some stories. We will be exploring the area around Nanaimo, hiking, and playing in the water.

活动包括学习当地萨利希文化：传统的交通方式，食物的获取，听他们的故事。我们会探索Nanaimo附近区域，徒步，以及水上运动。

Leadership and Communication: Students will be working as group to accomplish goals around camp. For example, we will take turns with cooking and cleaning, and tent set-up.

Personal Leadership: Students will take responsibility for their own wellbeing, including learning how to speak up for themselves and personal awareness about their needs.

Service & Community: Students will work together to take care of a campsite and each other.

Physical Aptitude: There will be some physical components, like hiking and swimming (optional).

Cultural Competency: The main focus of this weekend is learning about the culture of the Salish people.

Environmental Awareness: Throughout the weekend, we will practice Leave No Trace and taking care of the environment.
