Job Description

The Morgan lab at theMBL seeks a highly motivated individual to join the Eugene Bell Center forRegenerative Biology and Tissue Engineering as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Thesuccessful candidate will work on mechanisms of successful spinal cordregeneration in vertebrates.

Qualifications

Applicants should havea Ph.D. in Neurobiology or a related field. Must be independent, enthusiastic,self-motivated, productive, and enjoy working in a highly collaborativeenvironment. Must have substantial prior experience with molecular biology(e.g. RNA-Seq, qPCR), bioinformatics, comparative analyses, and behavioralapproaches.

The goal of the projectis to identify conserved factors that promote successful spinal cordregeneration, using comparative molecular approaches. Position will be for1-1.5 years, but could be extended beyond this period contingent upon progressand securing additional funding.

Job Description

The Samuel Ginn Collegeof Engineering is seeking candidates for the position of postdoctoral fellow inengineering. Postdoctoral positions become available periodically under a varietyof research grants and projects in the college. We are seeking applicationsfrom individuals with a PhD in any one area of engineering such as: aerospace,chemical, civil, computer science and software, electrical and computer,industrial and systems, and mechanical engineering. Also of interest arerelated fields of microelectronics, automotive electronics, microfibers,highway research, materials, asphalt technology, pulp and paper, chemistry,transportation, detection and food safety and information technology. Thepositions are available for a minimum of one year as full-time 12-monthappointments based on need, performance and funding, with renewal possible fora maximum of four years. Salary will be commensurate with education andexperience.

Qualifications

The selected candidatesfor these positions must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work inthe United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continueworking legally for the proposed term of employment, and be able to communicateeffectively in English.
