“现场所有参入紧急救援的义工及部队人员的确是我们安省最棒、最优秀的 --- 他们每个人都是英雄。” —— 福特省长

在过去一周内，福特省长亲自拜访了安省内的各个洪灾区，包括渥太华市及马斯科卡，并且参入了关于洪水上涨的讨论以及解决方案的筹划。

周五，福特省长在马斯科卡区域参加安大略商会年度会议时，致词首先就对受洪水影响的所有人表达了问候。

福特省长说：“在我开始讲话之前，我想用这个机会来感谢我们各位在场的部队成员们 --- 他们完全是我们的英雄！”

“并且，现场所有参入紧急救援的义工及部队人员的确是我们安省最棒、最优秀的 --- 他们每个人都是英雄。”

安大略省商会主席，Rocco Rossi说：“省长的心和所有灾难受害者的心在一起。我特别感谢加拿大部队及从各地赶来的义工朋友们，他们一直在帮助装填沙袋，阻止水平线上升，对我们目前来说这是一个非常重要的工作。”

本地省议员Norm Miller说：“省长福特有一颗宽宏、温暖的心，如果他有任何关心的问题，他会立即道场再想办法如何解决。我很高兴他今天来这里问候，亲眼看到马斯科卡区洪水上涨问题的严重性，并且在尽力而为去解决洪水上涨的根底问题。”

洪水专家，Brian Jones说：“作为一位安省居民，能够看到省长亲自到场关心受灾群众并且了解大家的顾虑，这令我深为感动。”

福特省长：“我们在后方支援所有受灾者，并且与他们并肩作战。我曾经说过我们会支援他们，而今日我们拿出实际行动。我已经多次来过这里，后面还会见Bracebridge的市长，满足他们的需求。因为我们政府是为渥太华和马斯科卡的居民，为全省居民服务的政府。”

Premier Ford “Before I begin today, I want to take this opportunity to thank our Canadian Armed Forces -- they are absolute champions.”

In Muskoka, Premier Ford kicked off his speech to the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Annual General meeting with a message of support with all those affected by the flooding.

Premier Ford “And all the crews and volunteers I have seen working tirelessly to help everyone affected in this flooding region, these people are the best of Ontario – absolute champions, every single one of them.”

President of Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Rocco Rossi “His heart goes out to those affected by the flooding in this region, as all of ours do. And a special shout out to the Canadian Armed Forces and all of the volunteers who’ve been helping with sandbagging etc. Very very important work.”

MPP Norm Miller “Premier Ford has a big-heart, and when there is a problem he cares about getting there and trying to do his best to resolve it. So I’m very pleased he came to visit and see first-hand the flooding going on here in Muskoka, and doing what he can to help people out, so really happy that Premier came by today.”

Water specialist, Brian Jones “It’s nice as someone from Ontario, from the area to hear his concerns – heartfelt concerns.”

Premier Ford “Well, we have their back and we’re shoulder to shoulder with them. And I said we’re going to support them, we’re supporting them. I’ve been up here a few times now and we’re going over to Bracebridge with the mayor there as well, and just to make sure any requirements they have, we’re there for the people here in Muskoka and people in Ottawa. ”
