杜鲁多再次会见紧急响应小组防控病毒接载加人

1月31日,贾斯廷·杜鲁多总理召集紧急事件响应小组会面,讨论加拿大对新型冠状病毒的最新反应,包括为确保加拿大人在国内外的安全而采取的行动。

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets with the Incident Response Group

Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau convened the Incident Response Group to discuss the latest developments in Canada’s response to the Novel Coronavirus, including actions being taken to keep Canadians safe both at home and abroad.

Minister of Health Patty Hajdu provided an update on the cases of the virus in Canada. She confirmed that the Government of Canada remains in close contact with the World Health Organization and other international partners, as well as with our provincial and territorial counterparts. The Minister emphasized that the risk to Canadians remains low, and that all preventative measures recommended by the World Health Organization have been implemented in Canada to detect, contain, and prevent the spread of the virus.

Minister of Global Affairs François-Philippe Champagne and Minister Hajdu briefed the Prime Minister on the plans being developed to repatriate and welcome Canadians who wish to return to Canada from the affected areas in China. Minister Champagne updated the group on efforts to reach Canadians in the affected areas, and reaffirmed that consular services are available 24 hours a day for Canadians who require help.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of a responsible, measured approach. He emphasized the need for Canadians to pull together in support of each other and to speak out against fear, stigma, and racism.
